Grav-Suction

Since it’s invention in 3397, grav-suction has been a standard feature of every pair of boots issued to soldiers in the Elite Task Forces. It has two separate components: magnetic fields for connecting to or retreating from metal surfaces, and morphing plastic suction rings for most standard non-metal materials.

Once a connection is made, the boot can only be detached by employing a fluid heel-to-toe peeling motion (as outlined in the ETF training manual Section 3F-52, diagram 1A).
